He completely convinced me that it is _corporations_ that are greedy, as he demands that people give him free stuff...
That made me happy. I was recently concerned when my daughter wanted a new car because her rider's side window wouldn't roll down. She didn't "know that they can fix stuff like that". I thought it was just her, but maybe it's the whole generation. Our education system is pumping out ignorance by the truckload, but we can sure produce a mean bunch of football players!
Did I just watch a representative video of the Occupy Wall Street movement? Remember when the Tea-Partiers were slammed for not having enough minority representation, even though the Tea Party rallies usually had a decent mix of minorities? Well, I checked out the people in the background of the video and I'm not sure they qualify as an assortment of old hippies and middle-class Marxists from the suburbs.Watch the video without the sound and look carefully at the crowd. You will quickly see what I mean. Now, maybe what we are really seeing is an unrepresentative group of people within a much larger crowd.Could well be. I have no idea. There's not enough raw data to work with to make a fair assessment.Perhaps, if the video camera was swung in a different direction there would be a different mix of people more resembling a Mormon Choir or something like that.To ensure accuracy and honesty, figuring out how representative a crowd is of minorities requires a bigger camera angle-preferably using several videos from different media sources.I would say that about any rally/demonstration/crowd no matter what they say or what they do. That includes the Tea Party. Any movement, especially the ones you might instinctively disagree with, should be described and identified with care and as much objectivity as humanly possible. It's not the conclusions you draw that are important. It's the rigour of the methodology you used to get those conclusions.Always beware of sampling bias. It can happen to the best of people.
"It's what I want."That's what four year old children say at Christmas-time.Did you notice the nervous sipping at his bottle as the questions got tougher for him? If his mother were there, I think he would have gone straight for the nipple.Yep, this guy is about as representative of that crowd as anybody. They don't have the slightest clue, and it doesn't matter how much melanin they have in their skin or what genitalia they have between their legs.To call them mindless zombies would be an insult to mindless zombies who don't require government assistance. In fact, raising the undead to deal with these people is looking like a good option at the moment.
Yep, this guy is about as representative of that crowd as anybody. You mean his views? How do you know that? How do you tell if some single guy in some single video is a representative of some crowd he happens to be with? The methodology you use to make a judgement call like that has to be objective and fair. Otherwise people can get away with anything. To accept a media technique is to legitimise that technique.(...)They don't have the slightest clue(...)zombies(...)mindless zombies(...)raising the undead to deal with these people...That's what you think about the crowd. Perhaps that was the whole point of the video? To tell you what you were prepared to alreadly accept."Tell people something they know already and they will thank you for it. Tell them something new and they will hate you for it."...it doesn't matter how much melanin they have in their skin...I believe you. Yet though it may not matter to you it does to other people. It's out there. It's a talking point.Whiter than a Mormon choir Here's a representative pic of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Remember when the Tea-Partiers were slammed for not having enough minority representation, even though the Tea Party rallies usually had a decent mix of minorities? Well check out this assortment of old hippies and middle-class Marxists from the suburbs....
So if there are some token blacks here and there at these rallies, they are still whiter than a Mormon Choir. What would be a fair and reasonable way to demonstrate that black people at any given rally are merely "token"?...minorities are woefully underrepresented in these temper tantrums. If minorities are woefully under-represented at a rally then that says something about the nature of that rally, right? One can draw a conclusion about the value of that rally and if they represent something....most minorities are saying "WTF are those stupid white hippies doing?"Exactly. Is the rally just a bunch of stupid white hippies? What is a fair and reasonable way to get concrete evidence to support such a statement? Are "most minorities" dismissive of the rally because it doesn't represent them?...the MSM and the Congressional Black Caucus is that they only count dark faces at Tea Party rallies. If Tea Party rallies did not have the problem that they woefully under-represented minorities and there were indeed plenty of dark faces in the crowd then what is the best and fairest way to demonstrate that? What methodology would you have the MSM adopt to clearly show objectivity and protect the truth?
This guy pisses me off, I hope he also pisses off the other protesters. Who is the greedy one? The millionaire who wants to keep his own money, or this guy who wants to steal the millionaires money to pay for his obviously shitty education?
