Al Gore, Extortionist ????

Here's how the mafia extorts money:

Say you have a restaurant. The mafia has a trash removal service and a laundry.
You prefer to use someone else's trash removal service.
You prefer to use someone else's laundry for your tablecloths.

Someone comes by your restaurant and "encourages" you to use the mafia's incredibly expensive trash and laundry service. Otherwise, your restaurant will have a fire.

Here's how Al Gore, The Goracle of Music City Tennessee, winner of the freakin' Nobel Prize, winner of Oscars, Grammys, etc., extorts money:

Say you want to build a new coal-fired power plant. And Al Gore has a $5 billion company called Generation Investment Management.
There are currently no excessive requirements for "carbon capture" on coal-fired power plants.
Generation Investment Management, has a "strategic alliance" with Gore's other bedfellows at Kleiner Perkins. Both of these outfits specialize in "carbon capture", "emissions capture", "perpetual motion", etc. (Al Gore's previous scams can be viewed by hitting the Al Gore label at the bottom of this post.)

Next, Al Gore appears at something called "The Clinton Global Initiative", and encourages young people to engage in ACTS OF CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE "to prevent the construction of new coal plants that do not have carbon capture and sequestration."

In other words, buy Al Gore's weather-changing, rain-making, hurricane-stopping equipment, or he's gonna shut you down. Through illegal means. And he's gonna encourage kids to do the dirty work.

Al Gore would have to evolve for billions of years to rise to the level of pond scum.

I wonder if he is going to want to catch the farts coming out of my butt....toxic!!

West, By God said...

I commented on this "civil disobedience" nonsense before.

I don't think he knows what exactly that phrase means. Civil disobedience works against government regulation and oppression. It doesn't "work" against private industry.

Brilliant Allen!

And where did you get that picture of Gore looking so... evil.

sandersonmom said...

Al Gore IS evil. That's the only smile that man can muster up!

Indeed brilliant. Fast becoming one of my must reads.

'And where did you get that picture of Gore looking so... evil.'

And where did he get so many chins?

Nick M said...

The chins are carbon capture in action. The fat bastard.

sandersonmom said...

that is gluttony at it's best.

He looks like he needs to rip one.

Get a holster. Nice Cigar. Is that a 6 ounce Martini?

They don't even claim to be interested in the necessary technology.

Agreed. Civil disobedience is what King, Gandhi, and Co used to demonstrate against their governments. Against individuals or businesses, it's called extortion. Ignore the Fembuttx comments below. I wish I could tell you that it would make her stop....

Nick M,
That's how he always looks to me. Am I missing something?

Nah. I don't think he's evil. He's just in need of evolutionary development, as stated in the post.

Shalom. Thanks for the compliment. Don't know where he got the chins.

You're baiting me, right?

Are you suggesting that there's only one source for carbon capture? Because in my quick research it appears there are numerous pilot programs with technology from various companies.

When performing the shakedown, Capone never said "Buy booze from me or one of my competitors."

In following your links, nowhere did I see Gore the Arch Fiend suggest poor mistreated companies had to use carbon capture from a specific company.

So it's a bit of a stretch to say "buy Al Gore's weather-changing, rain-making, hurricane-stopping equipment, or he's gonna shut you down."

Dude, some day you're going to have to find a new boogie man.

As usual, a post on The Goracle has drawn out the good Doctor....

You are 100% correct in stating that The Goracle didn't mention a specific company.
Much like ethanol lobbyists don't mention buying from a specific farmer. All that matters is the mandate.

That's why it's worthwhile for all ethanol producers (to name another boogeyman) to have lobbyists try to have legislation passed that would make their product a mandatory purchase, regardless of who produces it. It eliminates most of the need for marketing, selling, etc. The two customers become Reid and Pelosi, buying on behalf of Joe the plumber and Bob the builder.

And if use of any of these products becomes written into law, whose would you buy? Saint Albert's? Or the one produced by a total unknown with no connections to Kleiner-Perkins? Which one is more likely to protect you from the worst impulses of an unnamed political party?

Gore is not a statesman, he's not a scientist, and I don't even think he's an environmentalist any longer. He's the spokesmodel for a startup industry.

He's encouraging acts of civil disobedience if that industry's products aren't used.

Also, I haven't had a chance to do this yet, but do a bit o' Googling with those "other" companies and Kleiner Perkins/Gore.

WS - I fear I've become too predictable. I can't help it.

Al's problem is he's overly transparent when helping his "friends." Wait until the current administration is loosed upon the private sector again.

I'm not even worried about Bush. It's Dick Cheney (a.k.a. the Prince of F*cking Darkness) that will be keeping me awake at night. Don't worry about holding onto your wallet -- it will be other bits of your person you'd best be watching out for. Carbon Capture technology will seem like such a gentle, sweet-natured thing to be concerned with then.

I am worried about methane capture...They could take the best methane producers, my ex-husband and a cow or two and feed them beans all day long....The horror oh the horror...Ooopppss I just let a little cloud go....

The role of Haliburton in our latest overseas adventure is going to be the topic of many many books written by historians who are probably still in diapers. Hope I'm still around to read them.

to Alisa... 'True dat'... Rev. Al now has more chins than that proverbial Chinese phone book.

Also, how about this business idea: Selling carbon offsets for poorly engineered electrical appliances. e.g. I bought a small electric fan made in China. For a mere $2.92 you get a .00000000000003 ton Carbon Offset.

It doesn't do anything. But, it allows you to write off .54 cents on your taxes.

Lastly. Do you think it upsets Martin Scorcese that Al won an Oscar (R) for a Powerpoint presentation on his first try?
