He is a human. He was born on this planet. No defects were noted.

I was hoping for something that would answer the really big questions.

"No defects were noted."

I'm not a birther, although I do find the reluctance to release the full birth certificate curious. I'm also not a conspiracy proponent, and I don't know enough about the technology to pass judgment, but there are folks out there who are questioning what the White House did release.

I'm not taking a position one way or the other, but as the blogger above points out, how bizarre is it that we've reached a point where this has become such a large issue.

I'd sure love to see this issue resolved. Part of me is rooting for the birth certificate to be found false, if only for the mass confusion that would ensue. Would that invalidate all of his acts since assuming office - appointing agency heads, signing legislation, engaging in a 'kinetic military action,' etc.? What a wonderful constitutional crisis that would be.

Yeah.
I'm disappointed that so much time and energy has been spent on this, rather than the bigger issue: Is he, or is he not stark, raving mad?

The "birth certificate" is very likely a fake. Karl Denninger pretty well takes it apart HERE.
This is just the beginning.

Oh it won't go away. As long as people are not willing to confront it head on where ever it rears it's ugly head, the Birther issue will never ever die. There will always be those that will nod and wink and say "shucks, it's all a big mystery. Who really knows? I'm just trying to stand up for real Americans and have the courage to ask questions. I'm just asking questions."

The dog whistle blows loudly for all to hear. It's not in the least bit subtle or clever.

You want stark raving mad? I give you Orly Taitz.

The issue for me has NEVER been what patch of dirt on which his momma dropped his screaming carcass.

We have exactly THREE qualifications for president:

1. Natural born citizen
2. At least 35 years old
3. At least 14 years a resident of the US

If I had my way, the president would also have to have honorable military service, and pass a Single-Scope Background Investigation.

But as long as we have qualifications, I want them checked by someone in the federal government who is accountable to the people.

The long form contains the signatures of the attending physician and the registrar. Without that information, his mother could have had the baby abroad and listed a midwife or someone else as attending.

It's not at all implausible that a woman bearing a child overseas would want her child recognized as an American citizen, even if she never foresaw him becoming president.

Newspaper articles don't count. I could send in a press release claiming that my wife gave birth to our child Whitey this morning.

It millions of illegal immigrants can get phony papers, so could someone back in 1961.

I think the certificate looks fine, although initially I thought the two hand written dates were done by the same hand.

Yes, this should have been resolved three years ago - with Obama releasing THIS document, and someone from Washington DC taking a nice flight to Hawaii to verify its authenticity.

Of course you do. All you want is the REAL truth.

Cedric, the "birthers" have a Constitutional basis for their anger, however misplaced it is.

Your suggestion that this is motivated by race is stark, raving mad lunacy.

The "birthers" would be making the same argument if Obama's father had come from Canada.

The "Obama is a secret muslim" crowd are bonkers. The only basis for such a claim is that he was listed as a "muslim" as a child for a school he attended.

He's not a Christian either - he's a secular humanist atheist pretending to be a Christian. He doesn't spend one minute of any day thinking about God.
