Another Theoretical Question

There is a provision in the new Campaign Donor Reward Program Stimulus Package that prohibits the use of foreign steel in any of the new highway and infrastructure projects.

We currently purchase 40% of Canada's steel output.

Canada currently purchases lots of software, technology, and food from the U.S.

Let's assume that the Christmas Tree With Presents For Everybody ! ! ! Stimulus Package makes it through the Senate.

What do you think Canada will do in response ?

I'm not sure... But, do they have nuclear weapons?

Apply for statehood?

TLG - I shouldn't laugh, but I did.

They will set aside money to donate to the Presidential campaign so that they too can get kickbacks. Or maybe left out of the cutbacks?

They really should apply for statehood though. If they would do it then maybe Mexico would follow along. After a while we'd just have to build a fence across the border of Panama. It would be a lot cheaper.

Gar - True... I would think the Presidential Candidate would want the donation to be in Canadian $, since they're worth so much more now.

And Hi-larious about the fence across Panama. I say we build a big castle wall across the Canal wall and just man the top of it with that French Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
