Saturday Morning Links

We live in such a Target-Rich environment, it's hard for me to focus sometimes. Here's what some of my favorite typists are sounding off on:

Harper explains why our employment numbers are a mess, and she rips into The Teleprompter Jesus for giving unions a free pass on the "cadillac" insurance tax (because unions are so much more wholesome than the rest of us).

I don't like racism, or racist language. It does nothing to make things better. Never. Ever. Race, like eye color, left-handedness, or hair color, can't be helped. Now that I've thrown all those politically correct caveats in there, let me just say that my friend Paul is working through some issues. Yeah. I started it. My bad. It was like throwing gasoline and napalm on hot ashes.

The Humble Libertarian continues to explain Freddy Bastiat's "Broken Windows" concept. This time it's about the false benefits attributed to Food Stamps.

Francis over at Food and Fort Worth has a hapless, overwhelming post about "feckless". Francis does have hap, and he often whelms with his feck.

Dr. Ralph got to go hear Matt Weiner, creator of Mad Men, last night at Casa Manana. The Good Doctor's insights on the nature of people who ask questions at public Q&A's are worth a look. (Typical preface to a question at these events: "Mr. Doe, I've read all your work on the subject of mayonnaise packaging, and referenced some of your magazine articles while working on my masters degree in retail marketing, and as a mother of two, and the wife of a food transport specialist, and the owner of two collies who can tell the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip, I wanted to ask you a question that came up during our last weekend on our 40 acre spread in Aledo, where we often use mayonnaise while entertaining all the public officials and movie stars that we've met as a part of our Aid To Haiti relief initiative....and it goes on and on before they get over themselves and get to the point.) Mad Men is GREAT, by the way.

William Grigg, over at Pro Libertate, has the best thing I've ever read on American Fascism. Mr. Grigg makes me look downright minimalist. Be warned. But it's worth it. Go there.

End The War On Freedom wonders about the life expectancy of politicians.

Uncle Fester adds to John Stossel's discussion of Ayn Rand.

NickM at Counting Cats beat me to the punch on Danny Glover, Global Warming, Earthquakes and Religion.

Taking it to the next level

My friend Harper from Camp Blownstar is taking competitiveness to new levels.

Go here to see Harper's entry in my caption contest. Harper is the first person to bring photoshop to the table ! ! (Mere captions are so....previous millennium)

Link and bookmark Harper's blog "Passed Up Strange". Harper isn't just smart, but is also cerebral. Intellectual. Brilliant person, that Harper. Would've won the Nobel if the process wasn't rigged.

How To Catch Wild Pigs

My Camp Blownstar friend Harper has a great post on How To Catch Wild Pigs.

Go there. Bookmark Harper, and the blog "Passed Up Strange". One of the smartest people I've ever met, that Harper.

So Many Blogs, So Little Time

Check out the Fort Worth Renaissance site when you get a chance.
They have good general interest posts and other Town Of The Cow-related stuff.
The site has the look and feel of a Pete Wann production.

Going to Pete's site led me to Fort Worth Foodie. It's all about unhhh....Fort Worth Food. You get hungry looking at the screen.

And The Ghetto Plainsman.... one of the Fort Worthers I'd most like to meet. He's your typical African-American vegetarian fitness expert environmentalist kind of person.

Thimblethwicket - by Cynthia Shearer, a TCU writing perfesser. Check out this post about Mississippi (NOT CHICAGO, DAMMIT) blues legend Muddy Waters. She even gives a shout-out to Nicholas Lemann's brilliant but forgotten "The Promised Land", the best book ever written about the Black migration from the Mississippi Delta. And Good Lord Have Mercy, she used to be a curator at William Faulkner's house. Ms Shearer must have deep Mississippi roots, and therefore she is the best writing professor at TCU. Sign up now. I bet space is limited.

All are now blogrolled in the Fort Worth Bloggers section, and all are worthwhile.

Everybody on this planet is now typing faster than I can read. I love it.

7 Things You Didn't Know About Me

Pete Wann at Cowtown Chronicles has tagged me with an online meme called "7 Things You Didn't Know About Me". He's written a list of 7 things we didn't know about him, he's linked to 7 other bloggers who are supposed to do the same. Then I'm supposed to link to 7 other bloggers, and next thing you know, we've got this Amway pyramid of links and traffic going back and forth to each other.

Here are my 7 things.

1. On the top of my left ear, I have a feature called "Darwin's Point". According to The List Universe, "Darwin’s point is found in the majority of mammals, and humans are no exception. It is most likely used to help focus sounds in animals, but it no longer has a function in humans. Only 10.4% of the human population still has this visible left-over mark of our past.

My grandmother called it "The Howard Mark", after the branch of the family that all had wolf bumps on their ears.

2. I played acoustic guitar for an earlier incarnation of this group while I was in college, and we were able to do a European tour every couple of years. One night in an Austrian restaurant, I stood up and loudly sang "Dixie" for a group of bewildered locals. There was a very well-dressed couple being honored in one of the back rooms, and they and their friends were not amused by my performance of a Minstrel Show Battle Hymn from The War Of Northern Oppression. The next morning, I discovered that the Guests Of Honor in the next room were the Prince and Princess of Liechtenstein. All I can say is that alcohol was involved. (But I've sung "Dixie" for royalty !)

3. In Pete's list of 7 things, he mentions that he once made an ass of himself in front of noted Fort Worth actor Bill Paxton. I've never done that. But I once accidentally set someone else up to do so. Yes, with noted Fort Worth actor Bill Paxton. What are the odds? It's a long, long story.

4. I was born with an undescended testicle.

5. I don't smoke, except for the occasional cigar with the Libertarians at Pop's. But I once had a group of nicotine-addicted employees who claimed they needed more than two minutes for a "quick smoke break". To prove them wrong, I once smoked a Marlboro Light down to the filter in less than 15 seconds. Not recommended.

6. I've made five work-related trips to China. Thanks to multiple sets of flash cards, at one point I could recognize more than 500 characters in Mandarin Chinese. Now that we have another manager over there full time, I've forgotten almost all of them.

7. Thanks to the mind-expanding trips to Asia, I can eat or drink almost anything and enjoy it. The only two things I don't like and refuse to consume are pickles and iced tea.

And now I'm supposed to tag 7 more people with this thing. (The goal is to send traffic back to Pete's site, via my link, and then I'm supposed to go whoring for 7 more links back to my site.) Since I tagged all my Usual Suspects via an earlier meme called "The Anti-Library", I'm going to try something different.
I'm going to tag the bloggers who, according to Google, have made the most popular use of the word "antidisestablishmentarianism". Just to see what happens.

1. I'm tagging the good people at "Flippin' Kites", who marvelled at seeing antidisestablishmentarianism used in a real live sentence....

2. And I'm tagging the Atheist Bible Reading And Forum. They have an actual video about antidisestablishmentarianism, and once you've watched it, you'll never, ever forget it. It's incredibly effective. (heh, heh, heh...go there. You'll be glad you did. Seriously. Go there. Watch the video. Let me know if you watched the video. You'll walk away knowing EXACTLY what antidisestablishmentarianism means.)

3. For something completely different, Reconciliationtalk.com asks the question "Antidisestablishmentarianism, or not?"

4. A Staunch Calvinist at Reformation 21 has a post simply titled "Antidisestablishmentarianism". It seems that Rowan Williams, an archbishop in the C of E, is actually contemplating disestablishmentarianism.

5. David Keen at The Wardman Wire has the most in-depth analysis of Antidisestablishmentarianism you'll ever surf through. No stone is left unturned.

6. Andrew King, of Downed Robin fame, has yet another post entitled "Antidisestablishmentarianism". This guy's pretty entertaining, stating that "That old tease, Archbishop Rowan Williams, has titillated New Statesman readers with the enticing prospect of thew Church of England finally getting its lardy butt off the gravy train and being disestablished, not before time."

7. Finally, Boondoggle has a short piece entitled "Antidisestablishmentarianism Out Of A Beard". Polly Toynbee, states Boondoggle, knows what the longest word in the English language is.

So there are 7 bloggers tagged, and all 7 bloggers have written pieces about whether England should or shouldn't have an established church. If any of them link back to me with their 7 things about themselves, much less blogroll me, I'll be amazed.

Oh, one other thing I should've put on my list.....

8. When I was very, very young, my mother taught me how to spell and define "antidisestablishmentarianism".

Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Flattery

During the last couple of months, people have been asking me what happened to my Serial Commenter and arch-nemesis, Fembuttx.

Her sudden disappearance was widely discussed during the last two Libertarian meetups that I attended. I got emails asking if she had died, or if I'd shot her. A group in a black van from "CSI Eastside" showed up in my back yard and prodded every square foot of it with a methane probe. They confiscated my shovel. Two of my guns were taken away for ballistics analysis.

For readers who are new to this site, here's the story. Whenever I wrote about politics, regulations, free speech, 2nd amendment issues, or global warming/cooling/dimming, Fembuttx would turn the comment field into a discussion of her bedroom acrobatics. (I say "her", although no one really knows the true identity of the Fembutt.)
It lasted for about 6 months. And then she disappeared.

"Fembuttx is dead. Long live Fembuttx !" we all said. (Well, not all of us. But you get the picture.)

Thanks to my friend Ray, I've now learned that Fembuttx lives. Not just in our memories, but online.

The name of her site? The Whited Sepulchres. (Note the plural)

Check out the "About Me' part of her Blogspot Profile. (Before you go there, make sure you aren't drinking anything. Otherwise you'll snort liquid all over your screen.)
I would NEVER encourage this, but wouldn't it be funny if lots of libertarians went over there and left irrelevant comments about The Federal Reserve, Systemic Inflation, Regulatory Over-reach, The 2nd Amendment, and Ron Paul?

Warning: this site is for immature audiences only !

A Beginner's Guide To Freedom

Do you ever wish that there was a blog like mine, but written by someone who could get straight to the point?
Do you ever wish you could read a serious libertarian site that covers the issues without erupting into name-calling, goofy pictures, and vitriol?
I have just the place for you to visit....

I met Stephen Smith at my first Tarrant County Libertarian Meetup. (Come to Pop's Safari Bar tomorrow night for one of our mini-meetings, and you can meet him too.)

He writes a political blog called A Beginner's Guide To Freedom, and also ran for the State Legislature as a Libertarian.

"You see, the Republicans and Democrats in each state have set certain rules about who is and who is not allowed on the ballot – i.e., whom the voter may or may not vote for. The specifics vary, but generally speaking, the Republicans and Democrats get space on the ballot automatically, but every other party has to go through a time-consuming and wildly expensive process of obtaining signatures, verifying names and addresses, and fighting off legal challenges just so they can have their candidates listed as a choice for the voter to ignore come November. And should the voter ever pay more attention to these renegade candidates than the major parties might like, the number of signatures required to gain ballot access in the next election cycle is simply raised higher."

In other words, The Mommy Party and The Daddy Party ain't about to go gently into that good night.

Nevertheless, I think both sides of the gay marriage debate miss a fundamental point. The real question is not whether government should recognize gay marriage. The real question is “Why does anyone – gay or straight – have to ask government for permission to marry at all?”

Well said. But almost immediately afterward, Steven couldn't resist having a little fun at Melissa Etheridge's expense.

Melissa Etheridge inadvertently stumbled over a good point recently. After Prop 8 passed in California, she fired off an angry blog post in which she threatened to withhold her state income taxes because the vote didn’t go her way. She backed off that threat in a later interview featured on the November 17th edition of Access Hollywood, but she did mention how bizarre it seemed that her right to marry the person of her choice had been put to majority vote.

Yeah, it seems like a fundamental right to me, too.

But I can’t help laughing at the irony. Melissa Etheridge is a proud “progressive” who has been outspoken in her support for the likes of Dennis Kucinich and Al Gore. So normally she’s all for putting things to a vote – like voting for new and creative ways to waste your money on some ill-conceived socialist plan.

....Now that she’s on the losing side, however, Ms. Etheridge is slowly coming to grips with the fact that direct democracy is a double-edged sword. Do you think this will be enough to get her to reconsider her lifelong worship of big government? Neither do I.

Me either. Why Gays and Lesbians insist on voting for Democrats is God's own mystery.

Stephen's blog is one of the few I've discovered where I've been impressed enough to start at the beginning with the goal of reading the whole thing.
Read him, link him, save his site to your favorites, and meet us at Pop's tomorrow night.

Suzette Watkins, Candidate For Fort Worth City Council, District 8, May 2009

Suzette Watkins, occasional commenter on these pages, is a candidate for Fort Worth City Council, District 8. Please, please, please, hit the link and get back to me.

She writes the Morning Coffee, Evening Wine blog, and I don't know anyone who cares more about the East Side than Suzette.

Here's something I wrote about her back in June: Suzette at Morning Coffee, Evening Wine generally raises hell and rolls stumps under it. All the time. East Fort Worth is a better place with her living here. I'm not even bothering to link to a specific post. Suzette grabs an issue, writes emails, takes pictures, picks up the phone, and changes things. Hit that link a year from now, and she'll be doing the same thing about a different problem.

Here's Tarrant County Libertarian Guy, from a recent email: "She (Suzette) was recently escorted out of a public meeting by four police officers under threat of arrest for basically attending a "Town Hall Meeting". Even Ms. Watkins' political adversaries have stated that the incumbent, Kathleen Hicks, and her functionaries have gone too far. Suzette Watkins, as you can tell by the article, is not one to avoid upsetting political applecarts in her quest for transparent government, fiscal responsibility and tolerance. Her straight shooting has ruffled a few feathers and she has shown a light where needed. Check out her website; http://www.suzetteforcouncil.com - and from there you can check out her blog too..."

Here's the Fort Worth Weekly's account of the unpleasantness that went down at the recent Town Hall Meeting.
Here's Suzette's Meetup Group.
And here's an invitation for Suzette to email me anything she wants to have posted here, once a week, until the election in May of 2009.

And here's how to send Suzette a campaign contribution ! Hit this link !

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends - Bloggers Selected For The Star-Telegram Edition

Aman Batheja of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram called me one day last week to discuss this site.
He eventually wrote a column about Fort Worth political bloggers, which you can read for the next few weeks by clicking here.
For the edification of future generations, I've also saved it here. The Star-Telegram passeth away and withereth after a fortnight, but The Sepulchre abides forever.

They sent out a photographer to take my picture. This guy went to an unbelieveable amount of trouble to take the picture, download it to a laptop, have me hold the laptop, and then take my picture again. And they actually published this portrait, despite the possible drop in circulation.

So my secret is out. Yes, The Whited Sepulchre is actually millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.
Aman also posted more of his coversations with each blogger on the Star-Telegram's blog, along with some more pictures from my GQ photoshoot moment.
I don't think anyone will go there for our pictures, and I believe Brad Pitt's spot on the cover of GQ is safe for the moment. But a lot of these guys have some good things to say.

(Aman threw a couple more of my own in there that I didn't mention in the previous post. Here's what could happen if Creationists get their way and the Genesis story is taught alongside evolution in the schools. Aman also claimed that I "mocked" Obama's 30-minute infomercial. That is not true. I didn't mock it, I made fun of it.)

You can hit the link above to see which posts the Star-Telegram highlighted. Here are some of my picks....

The folks at WhosPlayin are Yellow Dog Texas Democrats. They've put together an online poll entitled Do You Support An Economic Rescue Plan? (I'll help you out....the only acceptable answers are #4 and #5. Vote for any of the others and your computer is immediately infested with viruses because, well, you deserve it.)

They also have an exhaustive analysis of Ken Leach's chances of defeating Michael Burgess in Congressional District #26, for those of you who think there's a significant difference in Republicans and Democrats.

The Idiot Speaketh is another Yellow Dog Democrat blog. This guy has an obsession with Sarah Palin. A life-endangering obsession. His hangups make my Al Gore fixation look like a slight nervous tic. My favorite of these posts is one that lists Palin's qualifications as compared to Kay Bailey Hutchison's, Condoleeza Rice's, and Liddy Dole's (we have TOTAL agreement on Elizabeth Dole's recent crimes against humanity). This lack of executive experience on the part of his Veep has been a huge drain on McCain, since he selected the only person on his Short List who had less executive experience than Obama.

According to the Star-Telegram, The Speaker is justifiably proud of this post, which now comes up as the #3 search result when you Google these words - Sarah, Palin, Idiot. (I'm #1 when you type in Richest, Vice, President, and I'm #2 on Al, Gore, Richest.) The fact that we know these stats is proof that The Idiot Speaketh and I might need some counseling.....

I really like this next blogger, a guy who posts at Liberally Lean From The Land Of Dairy Queen. (For those of you who don't live in Texas, Dairy Queen is a fast food burger restaurant that seems to thrive in small Texas towns.) He's been putting up anywhere from 6-10 posts per week since 2005. The posts are good, like this one about Time magazine hitting his desk. Nothing earth-shattering, but there's mention of a prayer vigil at First Baptist Church. This sent the Comment Field into a rapturous discussion about....whether Barack Obama is a Muslim.

Here's the best commenter:

11:58 - Obama is not a Muslim - you must be one of those brilliant 23% of Texans that think he is.

Unbelievable! You guys make Texas a laughing stock for the rest of the nation.

Here's a joke - I heard on late night TV - Barak Obama sat in a pew at Rev. Wright's United CHurch of Christ for 20 years, which makes him a Muslim.

John McCain doesn't go to church, which makes him a Christian.

Hardy Har Har....Seriously, make up your mind when judging Obama - are you going to bash him for being a member of Rev. Wright's church for 20 years?

Or you going to claim he's a Muslim?

Oh, I know - you'll do both.

Well said.

There's only one other site mentioned on the Star-Telegram blog - A Keyboard and a .45

I like guns. I think we have a right to keep and bear arms. But this blogger makes me look like Nancy Pelosi. I mean, damn.

Here's an excellent collection of editorials and blogposts that K&45 put together on voting. Each was written from a libertarian point of view. Great stuff.

Overall, I feel like I was in pretty good company. Everyone mentioned above is now blogrolled on this site in some appropriate category.

The Browncoat Libertarian - Take The Red Pill

There's another Fort Worth Libertarian blogger in our midst: The Browncoat Libertarian. I think I met this guy at Pop's Safari Bar last week. He was the one in the cigar bar with a copy of Reason magazine and a copy of Henry Hazlitt's Economics In One Lesson, if I'm not mistaken.
(Yes, at these Libertarian get-togethers you can gain points by out-geeking your companions. I almost went back to the truck for my copy of Liberty magazine and Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics - 3rd edition. But that might have been too intimidating.....)

I'm scraping the first post on his site, and leaving a few CLICK HERE blanks in the appropriate places, just to be sure you visit this guy's site.
The Red Pill/Blue Pill references are from The Matrix movies. Remember Lawrence Fishburne making this offer to Keanu Reaves in the first Matrix movie?
You are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends, you awake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. Remember: all I’m offering is the truth, nothing more....

TAKE THE RED PILL

When politics seeps into conversations I have with new acquaintances, it’s not long before I see curious eyebrows rise and the inevitable line of questioning begins:

“You’re a Libertarian? Really? Why? Aren’t you just wasting your vote?”
Yes. Really. I took the Red Pill. As of 2008, I'm a card-carrying Libertarian. Why? Because I'm through wasting my vote. In 2005, I threw up my hands in disgust and had a disturbing epiphany...the United States does not have a "Two-Party" political system, we have a two faction, ONE PARTY political system, a.k.a. "CLICK HERE".

After the ascension of George "Dubya" Knucklehead, I eventually realized that the Republican Party had abandoned everything that differentiated them from the big government, welfare/nanny state Democrats. It also became clear that the Democrats had finally caved and started pandering to the religious vote...so much for the party of "tolerance". I was past the point of no return...I had swallowed the Red Pill.

Clearly, the Democrats and Republicans are now one and the same...they are the CLICK HERE Party. Their similarities far outnumber their differences. They are the party of Big Government, irresponsible spending, and religious pandering, all driven by fear-mongering elitists.

Sadly, CLICK HERE voters blissfully fool themselves, as I once did, into believing they have a choice, that their faction is the right choice and that the other faction is wrong and must not be allowed to take power. Newsflash: no matter what faction a CLICK HERE votes for, or in many cases, against, they still end up with a big government, fiscally irresponsible, police-the-world nanny-state theocracy. A CLICK HERE government, fueled by truly wasted votes.

Most new acquaintances I talk with agree with the libertarian philosophy and the Libertarian Party platform of smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and enjoying personal liberty free of an Orwellian nanny-state, yet they won’t vote for Libertarian candidates for fear of “wasting” their vote, so they vote CLICK HERE.
Folks, it’s time to wake up and realize that a CLICK HERE vote is the real wasted vote. Take the Red Pill, vote Libertarian, and start putting liberty-minded people in office.
I hope this generates some traffic for your new site, Mr. Browncoat.
So next time I see you at Pop's, the drinks and cigars are on you, right?

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends, Fort Worth Edition

Here are some links from my favorite Fort Worth bloggers, plus one or two from Dallas - our suburb to the east.
Steve-O at The Caravan of Dreams has a post that makes use of the terms "Heineken" and "Proustian memory rush". His office is cooler than mine.

My good friend and grandmother surrogate Dr. Liz briefly wonders how the Southern Baptist Convention can evict Broadway Baptist Church, when they kinda left it about twenty years ago. Dr. Liz's blog, Zbeth Journall, is the authoritative online document covering canine activity at Fort Woof park. I hope she'll start posting a brief review/synopsis of every mystery novel she reads.

Pete at Cowtown Chronicles is offended by the idea of Democrats For McCain. In addition to being a welcome Serial Commenter on this site, he runs something called "Drinking Liberally", a left-wing equivalent to my beloved "Libertarian Meetup".

Ken Shimamoto, The Stash Dauber, in a generous humanitarian gesture, has collected 4 different Youtube clips of The Yardbirds doing the blues classic "Train Kept A-Rollin' ". Ken also runs the I Love Fort Worth blog, where he's got a good list of stuff you can do in The Town Of The Cow for free. Or close to it.

Anton at Deliberate Industries is doing his part to fight Global Cooling. Check out the itinerary. then go forward and backward a few posts. Anton is this interesting kid who wants to be a film maker / director / producer. Somehow, he gets to roam the earth making movies. I stay home and feed weiner dogs. We both probably have the karma we deserve.

Pete Geniella is a pro photographer. Check out the image from inside the shower, which I chose more or less at random. Pete knows his stuff.

Dr. Ralph is getting busier and busier at The Journal of Post Ralphaelite Thought. He's got Bob Barr on The Colbert Report. Like Dr. Liz, he's got some interesting commentary on the Southern Baptists kicking out the Broadway Baptists for providing a welcome sanctuary for the Gay and Lesbian Baptists. The Good Doctor also takes excessive delight in the city of Dallas struggling with Cesar Chavez Boulevard.

Suzette at Morning Coffee, Evening Wine generally raises hell and rolls stumps under it. All the time. East Fort Worth is a better place with her living here. I'm not even bothering to link to a specific post. Suzette grabs an issue, writes emails, takes pictures, picks up the phone, and changes things. Hit that link a year from now, and she'll be doing the same thing about a different problem.

Durango Texas attacks one of our mutual pet peeves in this post, which is a relatively calm attack on corporations getting tax breaks and other Free Lunches. D.T. explains that Cabela's is a company that specializes in tax breaks. That is all they do. Any rumors of them being a sporting goods company are just that. Rumors.

Francis at Food and Fort Worth has a eulogy on the untimely passing of Tim Russert.

And let's close this with a tribute to the late Steve Buckellew, who passed away this April. Steve and I were just beginning to correspond when he left us. He wrote some funny stuff.

People I Think You'll Like

I took a liking to a blog called "Durango Texas" back when I got worked up over the eminent domain abuses of Jerry Jones. I linked to some of his rants, and Mr. Durango is now permanently over there in the blogroll someplace.

He liked some of what I wrote, and has linked back to it, along with some rare Whited Sepulchre artwork/graphic design artistry that I sent him. (We're now in such an elevated state of mutual admiration that it's just a matter of time before we create a church directory controversy....Sorry, Mr. Durango.....inside joke.)

It turns out he's a fellow Eastsider. He also has a stash of the most disturbing Clinton photographs I've ever seen. Worth perusing.

Another Fort Worth blog, "Food and Fort Worth, Texas" takes a look at Obama's "Race In America speech". We both disagree with Barack Obama on just about everything, but were overwhelmed by one heck of a speech yesterday. Check out his "Obama's Iron Shot Through The Trees". And this write-up/review of "Charlie's Pizza", the best pizza place on the East Side of Cowtown. Or any other side. The Future Aggie and I go there often.
