Bring Them Home

Here's the print that our Narcissist In Chief is peddling on his campaign site.

I'm not the first person to notice the similarities to another image that's been in the media lately. Here are the hand prints of our Libyan embassy staff.
Way to go with that "Smart Diplomacy", guys.

What in the hell made anyone think Bill Clinton's wife would be any better at representing us and keeping a lid on this mess than, say, Sarah Palin's husband??  Four years working from a safe Congressional seat in upstate New York???  Sitting through HillaryCare meetings?  Making up fantasies about running across Serbian airfields under fire (along with the comedian Sinbad and Chelsea and some random singers?)

Don't bother praying for the troops.
Don't go to the hassle of putting a yellow ribbon sticker on your car.
Discontinue your practice of going nuts every time an army reserve unit unrolls a giant USA flag before a NFL or MLB game.

If you really want to support the troops, vote Libertarian.
We'll get their feet back underneath their Mamas' tables.
We are the only party that wants to bring the troops home NOW.

We have no business over there.  We're making things worse.  If you had to get past Chinese checkpoints and barracks to get home from work, you might be bombing attacking some embassies yourself.

Even within the 99%, there is a 1%

From KDFW:

DALLAS - Protesters in Dallas voted Thursday evening to close down the camp near city hall and relocate somewhere within the Dallas city limits.

Occupy Dallas has been struggling with people in the encampment who are not part of the cause, including some people who have criminal backgrounds.

For example, protesters said someone showed up to the camp this week and pulled a knife on someone. Nobone knew who he was.

Last week a convicted sex offender was arrested at the camp for the sexual assault of 14-year-old runaway and Thursday morning Child Protective Services workers showed up to question a family about staying in a tent with a 9-month-old baby.

And in addition to the bad publicity, the protesters said there are people who have been taking advantage of the movement by sleeping in donated tents and eating donated food.

“I know we’re supposed to be helping the 99 percent, but they need to help us help them by not being a drain on our resources,” said Otto Wagner.

Many protesters are fed up and hope by relocating the camp they can create a system to better monitor themselves.

“We’re not going to have formal sign ins. You’re not going to have to show an ID. You’re basically going to show up, give a name that we’re going to be calling you by,” Wagner said.

Crisis intervention teams will be walking through the camp checking on people’s welfare as temperatures reach near freezing Thursday night.

No further comments necessary on my part.  But here's an entire page of the New York Post:

Some Occupiers are more equal than others.  Let's go ahead and call them The 1%

Fred Bastiat Quote Of The Day

“Poor people!” he lamented of the duped French populace in the same tumultuous year [1848]. “How much disillusionment is in store for them! It would have been so simple and so just to ease their burden by decreasing their taxes; they want to achieve this through the plentiful bounty of the state and they cannot see that the whole mechanism consists in taking away ten to give it back eight, not to mention the true freedom that will be destroyed in the operation!” - Frederic Bastiat

Picture of Fred Bastiat The Dachshund and Fred Bastiat The French Economist came from my dining room table.

Ok, whose turn is it this year to be the "responsible, small government party"?

This is from Weasel Zippers.  A summary of the 2006 vote to raise the debt ceiling.
Please note how many small government Republican senators voted to put us further into debt.

U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes 109th Congress — 2nd Session

As compiled through Senate LIS by the Senate Bill Clerk under the direction of the Secretary of the Senate
Question: On the Joint Resolution (H.J.Res.47 )
Vote Number: 54 Vote Date: March 16, 2006, 11:17 AM

A cynic might claim that our two political factions enjoy taking turns.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies." - Barack Obama, 2006

And so it begins....

For the few die-hards who think there's a difference between the Republicrats and the Demoblicans, go here.    Please.  Hit the link.  And don't even think about acting surprised by what you read.
This means you, Harper !!  :)

As long as we keep doing what we're doing, we're going to keep getting what we've been getting:  debt, wars, needless regulation, bureaucracy, half the world's prisoners, violence on the border, Barack Obama regulating bedroom behavior, increasingly worthless currency, import quotas, high school graduates who've never read a book, and entitlements from hell.

The Republicans have worked hand in hand with their co-dependents to raise the debt floor ceiling before the current move to put in a new debt floor ceiling 70 times (so far).
Leopards don't change their spots.  They do what they do.  Don't be distracted by all the hand-wringing and scenery-chewing.  It is as scripted as a production of Hamlet.

Just enjoy watching them get your grandchildren further and further into debt.

Christina Romer is finished with her research, and thanks you for your time and cooperation

Christina Romer, who made her academic reputation by proving that FDR's massive messianic spending programs did NOT end the Great Depression....

is now abandoning Barack Obama's messianic economic team.....

having proven that blowing $750,000,000,000.00 on unnecessary crap will not end a recession.  There is no need for any additional research.  She thanks all of you for your time, your cooperation, and especially your money.
Note to readers in Japan:  The lines of latitude and longitude for Pearl Harbor are 15 degrees north, by 165 degrees west.  We have removed all of the women and children from the area, and we don't have a single fighter plane in the sky.
See, dear Japanese friends, you were the only nation who could distract FDR from trying to save us, and....
Naw.  Never mind.
