An Apology To My Online Friends In The British Commonwealth

Hello all,

As you know, we don't think much of royalty in the U.S. As you know, in the United States, we worship the idea of royalty. We re-elect Kennedys and Bushes, and we used to go ga-ga over Princess Diana.

Giving a boxed set of DVD's to Prime Minister Gordon Brown was perhaps excusable as a rookie mistake.
Giving the Queen an iPod was not.
Especially an iPod that contains Barbra Streisand singing "People". (See the song list in the previous link.)

I hope this will do nothing to harm what Churchill called "The Special Relationship" between our countries.

Once again, my apologies. We're still working on things like which fork to use.

Gee--I wanted to see the playlist. The link is to the Blogger login page.

What's on the playlist?

Al Green? Wynton Marsalis? Lil' Kim?
Toby Keith?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Dang it, I can't find the link that had the playlist.

The talk radio pundits were going off on the iPod supposedly containing The TelePrompter Jesus's 2004 Democratic convention speech. That can't possibly be true, can it?

Pundits?

That's not the word I usually use for those folks.

Oh, don't worry WS. WE're merely planning the War of 1812 redux and having Congress hung as traitors. Hey, shouldn't you lot have done that already?

iPod, DVDs, what next... a Wii for Chuckles? I can really see that grumpy old sod playing Mario Cart with Camilla...

I thought that The Sex Pistols "God Save The Queen" might be on it... or 'Anarchy in the UK' might be on it.

But, the lyrics are more representative of the US now.

No Future! No Future! No Future for me!!
