George Will has been commenting and debating for decades. He knows that criticizing Social Security causes a reflex response in most people: their ear canals collapse, their blood pressures rise, their brains shut down, and they mutter: "Never heed anything said by a person who hates Social Security."
Will wisely avoided invoking that reflex.
