Go here. I hope you'll read the whole thing. It's about the "Hollywood Holocaust", when a lot of Hollywood screenwriters lost their jobs because of their communist sympathies.
And then contemplate this quote from one of my heroes, Glenn Reynolds:
Leaving aside the obscenity of comparing out-of-work screenwriters with gassed Auschwitz inmates, there’s this: Communists are no better than Nazis. Refusing to hire Communists is on the same moral plane as refusing to hire Nazis. Which is to say: It’s a good and admirable thing, not a sin. Go broke and starve, commies. It’s what you deserve for being eager, willing servants of totalitarianism.
That's kinda harsh, considering that there are major differences between the Nazis and the Communists.
The Commies killed a lot more people.
Seriously, would you hire a skinhead who came into your place with swastika tattoos?
I didn't think so.
How about the kid who comes in with a Che T-shirt?
Buzzfeed has a list of 10 Things That Are Banned In San Francisco. Since I hope you'll go to their site and click on some of their ads, I'm deleting the last one. Hit the link and see it for yourself, and then avoid opening any kind of business in that Statist Hellhole.
1. Happy Meals
Or more specifically, toys in Happy Meals. But, what kind of Happy Meal doesn't include a toy?
2. Plastic Bags
Plastic bags are currently not allowed at large chain supermarkets and drug stores, but they are considering expanding the ban to all stores.
3. Bottled Water
City money cannot be used to purchase bottled water and it cannot be sold from vending machines on city property.
4. Smoking
Tobacco cigarettes are not allowed to be smoked in buildings, and clove cigarettes are not permitted to be sold in the city at all.
5. Baby Animals
It's illegal to sell baby chickens, ducks, and rabbits in San Francisco.
6. Segways
Segways are not allowed on sidewalks or bike paths because the mayor of San Francisco thought they promoted laziness.
7. Soda
Soda and juice drinks with no real fruit juice cannot be sold from vending machines on city property.
8. Arizona
As a protest to the state's strict immigration policies, city employees (except for police officers investigating a crime) are not allowed to travel to Arizona.
9. Firearms In Advertisements
Advertisements in San Francisco cannot “promote the use of firearms or advocate any violent action.” The poster for The Other Guy had all the weapons removed just for San Francisco's Muni system last summer.
Remember to hit that link up to for the full list. Note to Arizonans: Come to Fort Worth, Texas ! Ride your Segway to McDonald's and have a soda and some bottled water. Put the leftovers in a plastic bag, along with the baby chicken you bought for the kids. Smoke like a chimney on the way to the shooting range. Then sit and rest for a while, anyplace you feel safe. We don't care. You belong to you.
You occasionally hear stories of Totalitarian regimes like Iran and China charging a "Bullet Fee" to the families of executed protesters. They prop your kid against a wall, shoot him, and then charge Mom and Dad for the bullet.
If you step out of line in the U.S. it's not as severe. But they'll charge you for the chicken nuggets.
The food police at West Hoke Elementary School looked at a 4-year-old's homemade lunch, declared it to be counter-revolutionary, and made the girl eat some chicken nuggets (she ate three of them).
Yes, you are paying for food police.
Yes, if your child goes to a government school, they're looking at the lunch you pack for them.
Yes, they have nothing better to do.
Yes, the children they're harassing are going to be paying for the Food Nazi's retirement and pension programs for a long, long time.
The little girl's family was charged $1.25 for the chicken nuggets. Why the breaded chicken nuggets were superior to the turkey sandwich that Mom packed, well, that remains a mystery.
While the mother and grandmother thought the potato chips and lack of vegetable were what disqualified the lunch, a spokeswoman for the Division of Child Development said that should not have been a problem.
“With a turkey sandwich, that covers your protein, your grain, and if it had cheese on it, that’s the dairy,” said Jani Kozlowski, the fiscal and statutory policy manager for the division. “It sounds like the lunch itself would’ve met all of the standard.” The lunch has to include a fruit or vegetable, but not both, she said.
There are no clear restrictions about what additional items — like potato chips — can be included in preschoolers’ lunch boxes.
I'm dealing with a similar situation at work. The fire inspector doesn't want to see pallets stored inside the warehouse; the environmental inspector doesn't want them outside. When I bring up the contradiction, both sides back off. They don't want attention drawn to themselves, they want to keep serving as Civil "Service" lifers and collect their retirements at a ridiculously early age. The system is the point of the system - not fire prevention or the environment.
Enough of my problems. Back to the Carolina Journal:
“With a turkey sandwich, that covers your protein, your grain, and if it had cheese on it, that’s the dairy,” said Jani Kozlowski, the fiscal and statutory policy manager for the division. “It sounds like the lunch itself would’ve met all of the standard.” The lunch has to include a fruit or vegetable, but not both, she said.
There are no clear restrictions about what additional items — like potato chips — can be included in preschoolers’ lunch boxes.
“If a parent sends their child with a Coke and a Twinkie, the child care provider is going to need to provide a balanced lunch for the child,” Kozlowski said.
Ultimately, the child care provider can’t take the Coke and Twinkie away from the child, but Kozlowski said she “would think the Pre-K provider would talk with the parent about that not being a healthy choice for their child.”
Well, I would think that the kid's lunch was non of Jani Kozlowski's freakin' business, but I'm apparently wrong.
These people can't reliably deliver Sports Illustrated.
They've blown every penny you've sent to Social Security.
They're a totally owned subsidiary of a gaggle of lobbyists.
They're spending a third of the money you give them to blow up, slaughter, and maim some brown people overseas.
They're the object of the derisive cliche "Good Enough For Government Work".
You're going to let them tell you what your kid should eat?
Here's a picture of the Department Of Agriculture's old food pyramid. Note the 6-11 servings of bread, cereal, rice and pasta that they recommended.
Eat that for a year and let me know how it works out for you.
A Missouri family has been fined $90,000.00 for failing to "negotiate" with a government Kickback Artist bureaucrat.
It has something to do with raising rabbits.
But before we get into the story, please allow me to pull one paragraph out of context for those who have ever had to deal with city building inspectors, electrical inspectors, plumbing inspectors, and their ilk. All of you will instantly know what's going on here. Here goes....
In fact, there are no actual written USDA standards for what constitutes proper care of a rabbit by a wholesale breeder of pet animals, Sacks said. Instead, the process is a “negotiation” between a USDA official and a breeder when they apply for a license.
Ok, if you just read the word "negotiation" and didn't think "kickback", you're not spending enough time in the real world.
Here's the rest of the story. Hit this link to read the rest.
It started out as a hobby, a way for the Dollarhite family in Dixa, Mo., to teach a teenage son responsibility. Like a lemonade stand.
But now, selling a few hundred rabbits over two years has provoked the heavy hand of the federal government to the tune of a $90,643 fine. The fine was levied more than a year after authorities contacted family members, prompting them to immediately halt their part-time business and liquidate their equipment.
The Dollarhite’s story, originally picked up by local Missouri blogger Bob McCarthy, has turned into a call to arms for critics of the government’s reach and now has both Democratic and Republican lawmakers vowing to intervene.
The SEIU is the union outfit that gave Obama lots of help in the ObamaCare battle. Their president, Any Stern, has made more White House visits than any other non-government employee.
All pics below came from this site, and were chosen by a Mr. Zombie. (I don't know if his name is an intentional reference to what our Commander In Chief has done to our economy.)
Here's a sampling of Mr. Zombie's fine work:
A May Day rally in Los Angeles, co-sponsored by the SEIU and various communist groups, as well as other unions, reflected yet another step in the normalization of self-identified communist and socialist ideologies in the Obama era. Not only did the SEIU help to organize the rally in conjunction with communists, they marched side-by-side with communists, while union members carried communist flags, communists carried union signs, and altogether there was no real way to tell the two apart.
I'm currently reading a massive tome called "The Black Book Of Communism". The authors of this massive black doorstop attempt to outline all the deaths, destruction, and misery caused by that godawful doctrine. Their estimate is that the communists, those wanting to "spread the wealth around" (to quote our Commander In Chief once again) by means of force, killed more than 94 million people.
The Nazis were amateurs. To really do some damage, you need to display a concern for fairness and equality. At gunpoint, with gulags and re-education centers if necessary.
Here's a useful idiot with her red commie flag, and her worse-than-Nazi sentiments. God, I don't understand this mindset. Have these people never read a book ????
Here's the breakdown of the body count, according to The Black Book Of Communism:
65 million in the People's Republic of China
20 million in the Soviet Union 2 million in Cambodia 2 million in North Korea 1.7 million in Africa 1.5 million in Afghanistan 1 million in the Communist states of Eastern Europe 1 million in Vietnam 150,000 in Latin America 10,000 deaths "resulting from actions of the international Communist movement and Communist parties not in power."
The Black Book is documented to the point of being ridiculous. Communism is the worst thing to ever happen to this planet, and I bet half the U.S. population couldn't tell you anything about the tragedy outlined above. That estimate probably includes this booger-eater.
And here they are, your government's employees, putting on their purple SEIU shirts and proudly carrying their red Chairman Mao flags.
I have friends in China whose parents were sent out to the countryside to be "re-educated" during the Cultural Revolution by these socialist assholes. Some of the parents didn't make it back.
Just out of curiosity, are the Marxists/Communists/Socialists supposed to be better than Nazis because their intentions were mistaken for "just" and "noble"? Is bending everyone to the will of the state supposed to be a good thing?
According to Zombie, the SEIU employees are the ones in purple. The Communist Party members are all in red. And "Obama is closely linked with the SEIU. The SEIU is closely linked with communists."
Is there any doubt in your mind why our economy is in the tank?
Once everybody started mingling, the colors helped identify the players.
Here's some video from the march. Enjoy the brief images of child murderer Che Guevara:
Go here to marvel at the website of "Jews For The Preservation Of Firearms Ownership"
The site refers you to the chart I've included below. Here's some info on where these guys are coming from:
Why must all decent non-violent people fight against "gun control"? Why is the right to keep and bear arms truly a fundamental individual right? You can find the answers in this new book.
People frequently ask why we are so dedicated to our cause? This book answers that question by collecting the key facts and arguments in one place.
The message is simple: Disarmed people are neither free nor safe - they become the criminals' prey and the tyrants' playthings. When the civilians are defenseless and their government goes bad, however, thousands and millions of innocents die.
Professor R.J. Rummel, author of the monumental book Death by Government, said: "Concentrated political power is the most dangerous thing on earth." For power to concentrate and become dangerous, the citizens must be disarmed.
What disarms the citizens? The idea of "gun control." It's the idea that only the government has the right to possess firearms, and that citizens have no unalienable right to use force to defend against aggression.
Death by Gun Control carefully examines the "gun control" idea: its meaning, its purposes, its effects. It comes in many forms, but in every form it enables the evildoers and works against righteous defense.
From the Lew Rockwell blog comes this account of another government power grab.
The New York City Food Nazis are at it again. They are enacting a bogus restaurant hygiene grading system to “alert” the sheeple diners about the hygienic “qualities” of each restaurant in NYC. There is some good news though: They are using Lew Rockwell’s…er, I mean Karen DeCoster’s…er, I mean Walter Block’s…er, I mean Bill Anderson’s…er, I mean Wilt Alston’s…er, I mean my subjective standards as to what level of hygiene is acceptable for their grading system.
Well said, sir. One of the first things that you learn in food service, or retail is that not everyone grew up in your mother's house. "Clean" is one of the most subjective concepts out there. The Whited Mama didn't have the cleanest kitchen in north Mississippi, but any time somebody was invited to show up for dinner, they found a way to make it on time. Heck, a lot of people showed up when they weren't invited.
Now let’s look at my subjective food hygiene standards for a moment. I GUARANTEE YOU that many of you would not find the cleanliness level of my kitchen very appetizing, yet I cook and eat in it every day—and I’m in great health. So my question to myself (and to you) is this: How do I know that if a NYC restaurant does not achieve the top letter rating of A, but a B or a C, that that particular restaurant might still be a more hygienic environment to eat in than my own kitchen? I don’t—and that’s my point. This is just another power grab on the part of the gunvernment to make the sheeple feel more “safe” now that they will “know” the hygienic quality of a restaurant that they may choose to patronize (based on, of course, the subjective standard of some Health Department bureaucRAT).
Precisely. If the bureaucRAT in question doesn't like the owner, the cashier, the prices, or the politics of the establishment being investigated for heresy, there is no way that the bureaucRAT won't find something to downgrade. You can find germs in a surgery center if you look hard enough.
Okay, I’m wrong. The truth is that before this letter grading system was adopted in New York City there have been millions ofthundreds of thousands ofttens of thousands oftthousands ofthundreds of restaurant patrons dying every secondminutehourdayweekmonthyear…hold on a minute. You’ll notice in the linked news article that there is NO MENTION of any outbreak of food poisoning or food-related deaths that has even prompted this new restaurant hygiene grading system.
But think of the "jobs created or saved" in the Food Nazi Bureacracy.
If this new ridiculous Food Nazi tactic doesn’t put some restaurants out of business, I GUARANTEE YOU that at the very least it will force some restaurants to waste money on unnecessary “improvements” to their restaurants to be in accordance with the “higher” standards of the NYC Food Nazis—money that could have been spent in a productive manner somewhere else.
But here's the real kicker. Advocates of the Grocery Gestapo will tell you that trained professionals are needed to protect the ignorant public from spending their money in an unsafe place. They'll tell you that government knows best about where you should eat, and what you should eat. Remember, NYC is the place working on a salt ban in restaurants. They know what's best for you. But which restaurant are you more likely to choose? The "C"-rated establishment with a line out the door? Or the place that's been given an "A" for showing a civil-service lifer what he wants to see?
Please allow me to beat the rotting corpse of this dead horse just one more time. I'm speaking as someone who has lost almost 50 pounds by ignoring our government's most famous piece of health advice. (Well, maybe the anti-smoking messages are more famous, but most of those were published, by government decree, on the cig packs by their manufacturers.) Suppliers of gut-busting foods loved this little chart. Loved it, loved it, loved it. And it will kill you. It may have caused more diabetes than the sugar industry.
See the tag at the base of the pyramid, where Uncle Sam is recommending that you have 6-11 servings of bread, cereal, rice and pasta? Do you remember seeing that on all your packages of bread, cereal, rice, and pasta? And if you ate bread, cereal, rice and pasta in those quantities, do you remember getting fatter than the Sunday newspaper? But no one questioned it for years. It was the government telling us what is best, and what they thought was best reflected what The Farm Lobby produced. But after a few decades of increased heart attacks, plus pressure from health groups, the government decided it was time for a new set of recommendations. The new nazi-nanny guidelines look like this. They kept the pyramid shape for sentimental reasons.
Here's a guy called the Baltimore Health Coach, explaining what all they got wrong this time, and why:
1. Nobody needs to eat dairy, EVER, and many are better off NOT eating it at all.
2. Processed grain foods, even the whole grain versions, are at best a food to limit, and at worst a lead contributor to chronic and degenerative diseases.
3. The under-consumption of omega 3 fatty acids and over-consumption of omega 6 fatty acids (in the supposedly “heart healthy” vegetable oils like soy and corn oil) is clearly a major a contributor to disease.
4. No distinction is made about quality. This is especially damaging when it comes to meat, eggs and dairy. Experts in the health food world disagree about the place of animal foods, but all agree that factory-farmed animal foods are highly toxic.
5. Everyone has a different style of metabolism and requires a different ratio of fat, protein and carbohydrate. The 2005 pyramid is STILL one-size-fits-all.
6. Sweet fruits like apples, oranges and bananas are way over-emphasized as health foods. There is plenty of nutrition in them, but they are also high in sugar and should NOT be so heavily relied upon. This may surprise you, but many populations that have had incredible health thrived on little to no fruit at all.
7. Saturated fats in high quality butter and eggs, coconut, avocado and palm oil ARE healthy and should especially be consumed by children.
But why does the government put out bad advice? Why issue these food fatwahs at all, if they aren't 100% sure? Here's the Baltimore Health Coach again:
The USDA Food Pyramid STINKS because of the MAJOR influence of the food industry lobby. The USDA Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, the “unpaid” group of volunteers responsible for the Food Pyramid, have consistently been in bed with (i.e. ex-board members or recipients of grants) organizations like:
The National Dairy Council
The National Dairy Promotion and Research Program
The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association
The American Egg Board
The American Meat Institute Committee
The Dannon Research Institute, Inc.,
The Sugar Association
Grocery Manufacturers
Plus....
Just look at agricultural subsidies to see where the government’s loyalty lies. $15 billion in subsidies go to the soy and corn mega-farms that make the processed and fast food industries boom. Close to ZERO money is given to support fruit and vegetable farmers. Hmm…
Yes. Hmm..... In closing, think back to the new New York City cleanliness inspectors. Do you think there might be some cleaning supply companies lobbying for that program? Do you think there might be some politically connected restauranteurs who want to see that pesky upstart deli down the street given a "C" ?? And do you think the citizens of NYC will take this like a bunch of compliant little sheep?
Yes, yes, and yes.
The picture of the redneck kitchen came from here.
I saw The Lives Of Others last night.
If you haven't seen it, the film tells the story of an East German couple (prior to The Wall coming down), a member of the Stazi (the notorious secret police), and how the experience of spying on the couple leads the policeman to his redemption.
It's probably one of the 10 best movies I've ever seen.
One of the saddest things about watching a film like this?
1) Not just the Socialist Body Count, which is a staggering number....
2) Or understanding the diminished lives of everyone who had to live in the Communist system, but....
3) Realizing that very few people in the U.S. understand the magnitude of the crimes committed by the Socialist regimes that were in power for most of the previous century. I'd bet that typical college graduates can tell you more about the anti-Communist witch hunts of the McCarthy era than can tell you about the body counts achieved by the socialist governments that prompted the witch hunts.
(In the U.S. during the McCarthy era, somewhere around 10,000 people lost their jobs or had to take less than desirable employment because of their previous association with the Communist party. An army dentist who was promoted despite being unwilling to answer questions about his political loyalties became the subject of a media whirlwind. 93 people were convicted of belonging to organizations that advocated the overthrow of the U.S. government. Around 300 actors and screenwriters were blacklisted and were unable to write for Leave It To Beaver.)
None of these things should have happened. It was a bad time. But let's look at what prompted the Red Scare:
According to The Black Book Of Communisim, originally published in France, english translation published in 1999, these are the civilian lives claimed by Communism:
U.S.S.R. - 20 million deaths
China - 65 million deaths
Vietnam - 1 million deaths
North Korea - 2 million deaths
Cambodia - 2 million deaths
Eastern Europe - 1 million deaths
Latin American - 150,000 deaths
Africa - 1.7 million deaths
Afghanistan - 1.5 million deaths
The international Communist movement and Communist parties not in power: 10,000 deaths
The total approaches 100 million people killed. I don't think that the crimes of the Socialists and the crimes of the United States can be seen as moral equivalents.
Here's Claire Berlinski, writing for City Journal:
In the world’s collective consciousness, the word “Nazi” is synonymous with evil. It is widely understood that the Nazis’ ideology—nationalism, anti-Semitism, the autarkic ethnic state, the Führer principle—led directly to the furnaces of Auschwitz. It is not nearly as well understood that Communism led just as inexorably, everywhere on the globe where it was applied, to starvation, torture, and slave-labor camps. Nor is it widely acknowledged that Communism was responsible for the deaths of some 150 million human beings during the twentieth century. The world remains inexplicably indifferent and uncurious about the deadliest ideology in history.
For evidence of this indifference, consider the unread Soviet archives. Pavel Stroilov, a Russian exile in London, has on his computer 50,000 unpublished, untranslated, top-secret Kremlin documents, mostly dating from the close of the Cold War. He stole them in 2003 and fled Russia. Within living memory, they would have been worth millions to the CIA; they surely tell a story about Communism and its collapse that the world needs to know. Yet he can’t get anyone to house them in a reputable library, publish them, or fund their translation. In fact, he can’t get anyone to take much interest in them at all.
Then there’s Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky, who once spent 12 years in the USSR’s prisons, labor camps, and psikhushkas—political psychiatric hospitals—after being convicted of copying anti-Soviet literature. He, too, possesses a massive collection of stolen and smuggled papers from the archives of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, which, as he writes, “contain the beginnings and the ends of all the tragedies of our bloodstained century.” These documents are available online at bukovsky-archives.net, but most are not translated. They are unorganized; there are no summaries; there is no search or index function. “I offer them free of charge to the most influential newspapers and journals in the world, but nobody wants to print them,” Bukovsky writes. “Editors shrug indifferently: So what? Who cares?”
The question is not so much "Who cares?" as "Why do we feel this way?"
For reasons that I'll never understand, a lot of intelligent people are able to give Socialism a free pass because the goals of Socialism are so "humane" and "egalitarian". The death camps, which you have to have for the people who decline to be Socialized, are overlooked as a fluke, or the unfortunate products of Socialism veering from the true path. (The Black Book Of Communism, which I'm only 1/10th of the way into, puts that myth to rest nicely. The tragedy in Russia wasn't caused by Stalin corrupting the ideals laid down by Lenin. Both of those jokers operated from the same playbook.)
Remember the 1960's era hippies, with their copies of Chairman Mao's Little Red Book?
How many Fidel Castro apologists have you met in your life? I've known about a dozen, and read pieces by dozens of others.
Look at Sean Penn, praising Socialist nutcase Hugo Chavez.
Now....what would happen to Sean Penn's career if he praised a Nazi? What if Penn defended someone really horrible like Joseph Goebbels, but whose policies, if you look at the death count, were less harmful than those of Karl Marx ? Would Sean Penn ever be in another movie? But for some reason, the Chavez crimes against humanity and property are more wholesome and his defenders are more politically "aware".
If someone praised Auschwitz "Doctor" Josef Mengele, invited him to speak at a church in New York City, and then crowed online about Mengele's greatness and wisdom, do you think that person would deserved to be shunned for the rest of his life?
But why do we accept this with a shrug, when the guest of honor is mass-murderer Fidel Castro?
Free-market capitalism isn't perfect either. However, if capitalism is left alone (and if it's participants aren't declared Too Big To Fail), it has some self-correcting aspects that provide an incredible amount of wealth and prosperity to a massive number of people. Here's Jonah Goldberg on the strengths and weaknesses of Capitalism vs. Socialism:
If by “capitalist” you mean someone who cares more about his own profit than yours; if you mean someone who cares more about providing for his family than providing for yours; if you mean someone who trusts that he is a better caretaker of his own interests and desires than a bureaucrat he’s never met, often in a city he’s never been to: then we are all capitalists. Because, by that standard, capitalism isn’t some far-off theory about the allocation of capital; it is a commonsense description of what motivates pretty much all human beings everywhere.
And that was one of the reasons why the hard socialism of the Soviet Union failed, and it is why the soft socialism of Western Europe is so anemic. At the end of the day, it is entirely natural for humans to work the system — any system — for their own betterment, whatever kind of system that may be. That’s why the black-market economy of the Soviet Union might have in fact been bigger than the official socialist economy. That is why devoted socialists worked the bureaucracy to get the best homes, get their kids into the best schools, (see: Obama, Sasha and Malia) and provide their families with the best food, clothes, and amenities they could. Just like people in capitalist countries.
It’s why labor unions demanded exemptions and “carve-outs” from Obamacare for their own health-care plans. And why very rich liberals still try their best to minimize their taxes. (see: Hypocrisy Awards: The Whiteys)
The problem with socialism is socialism, because there are no socialists. Socialism is a system based upon an assumption about human nature that simply isn’t true. I can design a perfect canine community in which dogs never chase squirrels or groom their nether regions in an indelicate manner. But the moment I take that idea from the drawing board to the real world, I will discover that I cannot get dogs to behave against their nature — at least not without inflicting a terrible amount of punishment. Likewise, it’s easy to design a society that rewards each according to his need instead of his ability. The hard part is getting the crooked timber of humanity to yield to your vision.
"The hard part is getting the crooked timber of humanity to yield to your vision." What a great sentence. That's why the Socialists had to have the death camps, the thousands of torture rooms, the firing squads, the Gulags, and the re-education centers to straighten out the dissenters.
It's also why the Stazi officer in The Lives Of Others was camped out above the German couple's apartment, listening in with a set of headphones. There was always someone, somewhere, who wasn't loyal to the vision.
I hope you'll rent the movie.
Just out of morbid curiosity, has anyone ever gone to a Tea Party event and seen someone holding a sign that says "I want to kill blacks and Jews"?
Especially when some of the featured speakers at the event were black?
I have to admit, watching MSNBC is always entertaining. Entertaining. Addictive. Their ratings are totally in the tank, but I can't imagine why.
Enjoy this display from someone on the Keith Olbermann farm team:
Notice the reference to Nazis? Always, always, always remember: That abbreviation stood for the National Socialist German Worker's Party, and they were almost the biggest of the big government outfits of the previous century.
Remember: National Socialist German Worker's Party. As left wing, and Big Government as they come.
I don't think the Tea Party movement has much in common with the National Socialist German Worker's Party.
Inglorious Basterds. That's not a typo. It's the new Quentin Tarantino movie. Yes, that's Brad Pitt. Other people play Hitler, Churchill, Joseph Goebbels, etc. I'll probably see it in the theatre twice, and then buy the DVD.
